The steps for downloading a YouTube video without the use of a browser extension or third-party software are straightforward. All that is required is a modern web browser such as Chrome.

Make sure the desired video is available in 720p.

1080p, 2k, and 4K videos can be downloaded by this method but the audio and the video will be separated.

How to Download YouTube Videos Without Any Software

1. Right-click anywhere on the screen and select “Inspect”
2. Select the “Network” tab
3. Click on the “Doc” tab
4. Refresh the page
5. Right-click on the link and select “save as..”
6. Save it as a text file
7. Open the file and search “720p”
8. Copy the link and paste it into the code given
9. Now select the “Console” tab
10. Paste the copied code and hit enter
11. Click on the URL and save the video

That’s it; a super-simple and safe method for downloading YouTube videos.
